Redevelopment Agency and North Walke Corporation RFP for External Audit Services

The Norwalk Redevelopment Agency and its subsidiary North Walke Housing Corporation (the entities), is seeking Proposals from qualified public accounting firms to perform certain audit functions for all or part of fiscal years 2023, 2024 and 2025. These functions shall include, but are not limited to:

(1) Audit of annual financial statements prepared by the entities, beginning with the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023

(2) Federal Single Audit beginning with the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023

(3) State Single Audit beginning with the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023

(4) 2022 Federal Form 990

The Agency staff consist of eight full time employees and two part-time employees. The Finance Department is staffed by a full time Finance Director and a part-time staff accountant. Since 2003, the Abila MIP Fund Accounting Software (Version 18.1.0) has been used to account for financial activity. The Norwalk Redevelopment Agency consists of five active funds and the North Walke Housing Corporation consists of two active funds. This engagement will begin immediately following (or as soon as practicable after) the awarding of this contract.
