10 Monroe Street

In early 2021, South Norwalk-based Spinnaker Real Estate Partners submitted plans for a six story mixed-use development at 10 Monroe Street to the Norwalk Redevelopment Agency for review. The project will preserve two historic buildings on the site, create a plaza for outdoor seating along Monroe Street, have ground floor storefronts and residential amenities along South Main, Monroe, and Chestnut Streets, provide a 157-space parking garage, and contain 150 residential units. The proposed project meets the goals and design guidelines of the 2016 South Norwalk Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Redevelopment Plan by creating a dense, mixed-use transit- and pedestrian-oriented development within walking distance of the South Norwalk Station. Construction on the project is expected to begin in 2022.
